In a 3–4 page essay (12 pt. double-spaced), discuss one music copyright case in which you disagree with the outcome. You are free to use any of the cases that we have discussed in class, but you are also free to research a case on your own if you prefer.

In your essay should (i) summarize the facts of the case, the principal arguments made by the two sides, and the final result; (ii) explain why you disagree with the result; and (iii) describe what you think would have been a more appropriate resolution. In addition to the case proceedings, be sure to incorporate outside sources (news stories, opinion editorials, blog posts, etc.) to inform your opinion.
