For the Capstone Project, students should create one of the options on the list below. Imagine you are developing a presentation explaining your project to an audience. You do not have to actually do a live presentation, but you will be required to share your project at the end of the semester. Ultimately, I want you to describe your topic area of interest to your peers, via one of the options listed below.
This semester, you will be asked to brainstorm about a topic area, think about your selected topic and application of that topic to a current event or issue, find empirical research related to your topic area, and outline your capstone project.
Create an informational two-page or one-page/double-sided document about your topic area. See the example provided in the project folder.
OR
Create a Poster Presentation similar to a conference poster. See the example in the project folder.
Describe the history of your topic area. This might be as simple as describing a study from your textbook (similar to your midterm). Think about Assignment 3 as well. (20 points)
Describe research conducted in this topic area. Think about Assignment 3 as well. (20 points)
Describe the application of your topic area to current work, events, and/or relevant areas. Do you have new ideas for the application of this work? Think about Assignment 2. Build on that. (40 points)
References (provided and in APA format; 5 points)
