The aim of these papers is for you to show that you understand the material and that you can think critically about it (e.g., explanation and interpretation). Since the aim of these papers is for you to demonstrate comprehension of materials, texts or media chosen for critique must be course materials. These papers require you to provide thoughtful critical responses to the text/media you select in the given topic areas. You will try to come up with your own arguments, or our own way of elaborating or criticizing or defending some argument you looked at in the material. Merely summarizing what authors have said will not be adequate. These papers should be APA formatted, typed, double spaced, and include the topic at the top of the page.
