Though this is a humorous story, there are things we can take away from Beverly’s speech, including vocal variety and ending memorably. Both of these are categories we struggle with in our speeches.
Please explain how he utilizes vocal variety. Why is it fitting for his speech? What is the running theme in his speech and how does he tie it in throughout the speech? How does he end memorably? Is it effective?

When developing a communications matrix, please ensure that your communications matrix table includes the following columns:
ID: A unique ID number used to identify the communication within the communication matrix.
“Who” → Target Audience: A descriiption of the target audience for this communication vehicle.
“What” → Descriiption: A descriiption of the communication.
“Where” → Communication Deliverable Type: A descriiption of the type of communication that will be delivered (e.g., fact sheet, infographic)
“When” → Frequency: The frequency of which the communication will be distributed.
“Why” → Purpose: A brief rationale for the communication approach selected for the target audience
“How” → Vehicle (i.e., Channel, Modality): A brief summary of how the communication deliverable would/could be disseminated–usually involves a communication modality (i.e., visual, aural, linguistic, spatial, gestural), channel–by formality (i.e., formal, informal, unofficial, etc.) and/or means (i.e., synchronous, asynchronous, digital/in-person, etc., and vehicle (i.e., the solidified deliverable format–such as an “infographic posted on social media”).
Please note how the communication vehicle (like driving an actual automobile) requires both tangible (e.g., format) and intangible (e.g., route of transmission) components.
Comments: This optional item can be reserved for any additional comments. Most rows of your communication matrix should have at least one comment that contextualizes a particular facet not otherwise covered in the matrix. However, it is common for a communication matrix to have about one-quarter to one-third of the rows to have “N/A” placed in this comment section. Whatever you do, please do not leave any cells “blank” in the table.
It must be clear that your communications matrix would/could:
Be utilized by the proposed coalition, task force, organization, etc., and
Reflect at least one communication strategy for each stakeholder listed in your strategic plan.
