Develop an instructional plan designed for an inclusive science classroom that you will micro-teach during week 5. The lesson plan will demonstrate concepts discussed in the course including: 1) addressing and infusing individual students’ goals and objectives to the content, 2) linking assessment with instruction, 3) using evidence-based practices to obtain high levels of achievement, 4) ensuring access to the general education curriculum, 5) delivering culturally responsive practice, 6) demonstrating the appropriate use of technology by both teacher and student, and 7)collaborative decision making and coaching. Identify three goals targeting three different skills that will have a large impact on his daily life and address areas of concern. Make sure your goal clearly describes what he is to do and the criteria for meeting the goal.

Goal and Rationale
Write a 1500-1750 word essay addressing each of the following points/questions. Be sure to completely answer the questions for each bullet point. There should be separate sections, one for each bullet below. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper.
After reading the chapters in your text for this week, create a list of questions that allows the professional to explain his/her philosophies, thoughts, strategies and approaches to curriculum, instruction and assessment. The professional being interviewed should work with young children (preK-2). Make sure questions are open-ended in order to ensure rich discussion and complete responses.
Interview the professional and record all responses.
Ask the professional for a sample lesson plan. Make a copy and submit with the interview as part of your assignment documentation. You will probably need to scan the lesson plan and submit as an attachment.
Finally, compare and contrast the professional’s responses to what the text has to say about curriculum, instruction and assessment. Be thorough and make direct connections with the professional’s responses and the information in your readings.
You will administer three assessments and will gain fluency and proficiency in administering the:
TOWL- Test of Oral Written Language (See module 1 for more information about this assessment)
GORT- Gray Oral Reading Test (See module 1 for more information about this assessment)
Math Assessment Evaluation (you will not administer this, but look through video and other materials to evaluate the student, make recommendations, etc.). More information will be provided in Canvas relative to this specific bullet point.
You will conduct these practice assessments with someone (e.g., child, spouse, relative, friend, etc.) who falls within the normed age range of each assessment. Remember, these are just PRACTICE, so please conduct the assessment with someone you know or are familiar with). The person who you give the assessment to DOES NOT need to have a suspected or existing disability.
These assessments are intended to familiarize you with the process of administering, scoring, and analyzing collected data to make informed and sound educational decisions.
It is preferred that you complete each assessment with a school-aged child. If you are not able to do this, please communicate with me early in the semester so that we can come up with an alternative.
What you will upload/submit for each of the assessments:
Scored protocol (all pages)
Examinee forms (any forms that the examinee may have written on as part of the assessment)
A summary on each of the assessments that you administered and discuss the examinees strengths, areas of difficulty, and overall reflections of giving each assessment. These summaries will be in ONE continuous document; please utilize appropriate headings when discussing each.
Your summary should be a minimum of 3 pages, double-spaced. Please use appropriate APA formatting as needed. Your writing can be checked for plagiarism using TurnItIn.

Math Assessment Evaluation- As part of your ‘Application Based Assessments’, you will take a slightly different approach to this portion of the assignment where you will view and analyze math case study data.
You will be watching videos and scoring a math probe along with the video. You will also be looking at student math work and scoring and interpreting patterns of strengths and weaknesses. Video links are embedded within the documents below.

3/6 sources are provided. The Bible must be one. The word doc attached is Chapter 2 of the course text-title, edition, authors, and pages included. Two articles have been attached for reference as well. Two more sources will need to be located to hit the 6 source minimum.

You will prepare a draft of an outline for a literature review for a topic of your choice. This outline should be approximately 1 to 2 pages. Please see the example (in attached files) provided but please note that there is no set form required as this outline is for you! Teaching cases are narratives about the universal challenges inherent in the “real world” of classrooms, teaching, and schools. The context of teaching cases provides rich social, political, and ethical dilemmas for teachers to deliberate. Engage in the exercises of the following two video cases. Discuss your top three (3) reflections from these video exercises and discuss how you will incorporate these top three (3) takeaways into your Module 4 lesson plan development.
Over the course of the semester, you will view 2 movies (or a book and a movie) that have disability-related themes or characters. You will write a short paper on the themes of the movie “Radio” and “Ray” and the view they present of disability. A more detailed grading rubric will be provided later in the semester. You will NOT just write a book report! You will begin your paper with an abstract – a brief summary of the two sources. In the body of the paper, you will focus on the issues faced by the persons/characters in the book and personal commentary. How are these
individuals portrayed? How are they viewed by society? How do they compare/contrast with other characters in the book? What does this movie say thematically about disability? A list of approved movies will be provided, or you may seek professor approval for other options. At times during the semester, we will break into small groups to talk about the movies and how they relate to the other course materials. It is recommended that you use these small group sessions to outline or take notes to prepare your paper. The actual paper will include 3-4 quotes, be approximately 1250-1500 words (3-4 double spaced pages) in length, have correct punctuation and grammar, and use person first language
